Dog Bed MaterialsUpdated a year ago
Our Dog Beds are constructed using a fill called Kapok, which is then wrapped in a waterproof cotten liner, and then the Hemp or Velvet cover on top.
Kapok is a natural occurring fibre that grows from seed pods on the Kapok tree. The material has a small footprint, the trees grow for many years without human intervention like pesticides or fertilizer, allowing it to be a renewable resource. Compared to cotton that requires lots of water and energy, there is little post-processing of the kapok material once it is harvested. The material is also naturally hypoallergenic!
